Lots keeps going on. Freelance jobs and personal projects are conspiring to keep me from comics right now. (Don’t get me wrong: too much work is a problem I’m grateful to have.) I expect I’ll only be able to post one more new piece in October, and then I’ll be joining Derik Badman and some other great cartoonists in the 30 Days of Comics project during the month of November.
In the meantime, I’ll be continuing to post sketches over at Fighting Teeth, and as I mentioned, I’ll have at least one more comic up here this month. If you’re visiting for the first time, please check out the archives at right, and consider picking up a copy of the new book, Watching What You Say, in the store. (Or, if you live in the New York area, you can buy copies at Bergen Street Comics or the Recession Art Gallery.)
Also, my friend Josh Malbin invited me to join him in creating a podcast called Comics for Grownups. (Josh, by the way, is an excellent author, and you should check out his novel and his short stories.) Our inaugural episode is now available. In it we discuss new work by an eclectic bunch: Gabrielle Belle, Brecht Evens, L. Nichols, Tom Motley, Frank Santoro, Grant Morrison, Matt Kindt, Erika Moen, and Jeff Parker. Available now through iTunes for free.
